Crime, memoir, essay, speculative fiction, poetry, science fiction, romance— Kylie inspires it all!

Following from the success of Minds Went Walking: The Songs of Paul Kelly Reimagined and Into Your Arms: The Songs of Nick Cave Reimagined, this year’s musical muse is Australian icon Kylie Minogue. This anthology is truly a mix tape, with twenty-three authors each using a song by Kylie as the springboard for their creativity; drawing from Kylie’s 1987 debut song ‘Locomotion’ all the way through to her newest release, ‘Tension’.

Contributors are writers from around Australian, including Grace Chan, Nathan Curnow, Chris Flynn, Kris Kneen, Julie Koh, Jes Layton, Thuy On, Alice Pung, Holden Sheppard, Carrie Tiffany, Christos Tsiolkas, Ellen Van Neerven, Emma Viskic and Jessica White.
